Jan 2025 Games Night!

Despite the terrible weather the previous day, our game night went ahead and we were so delighted with how many people still managed to make it!

Hellapagos - a cooperative game where the concept is you play as a group of survivors, washed up on a desert island where resources are scarce. Your only way to escape is to work together and build a raft... It didn't go quite like that for some of the players, but by the sounds of it, they had fun!

Mind Up - a simple yet clever card game with a streamlined mix of guessing and hand management. This turned out to be a great "filler" game that many groups had a round or two of.

Nekojima - the Cat Island in Japan! Nekojima is a wooden dexterity game where competing or cooperating players must balance electrical poles on a board without toppling the structure. All we can say is that this game was very, very stressy! A few groups managed to get far and passed level 4!

Aquaretto - In Aquaretto, the players are managing the planning and selection of animals for their water themed zoo. A great set-collection and tile placement game and currently out of print, but we have one copy left!

Jurassic Parts - a great area control game! All players have access to the same slab of rock. The goal is to split it apart and claim complete dinosaur skeletons, the bigger the better! This was played by a couple of different groups on the night and enjoyed!

Focus - Communicate… without a word. Focus is a cooperative deduction game for 2 players. One of the group of two playing this were so good they reached Sherlock Holmes level status!
